BIS Raids on Beverage Units

HYDERABAD:A team of officials from Bureau of Indian Standards, Hyderabad conducted raids on M/s Sri Sujala Beverages, Srinivasapur village at Wanapartyhy mandal in Mahabubnagar district and found that the packaged drinking water (PDW) manufacturer was using spurious BIS Standard Mark, without a valid license.

A large quantity of packaged drinking water packed in 20 litre pet jars with brand name ‘Sri Sujala’ were seized.

Another team of officials raided M/s Ganga Bhavani Beverages, Muthangi village, at Patancheru mandal in Medak district, also found to be using BIS mark without any valid license. A large quantity of 20 litre pet jars with brand name ‘KELYN’ was seized.
