Tollywood Show for Hudhud Relief on Nov 30

HYDERABAD: Telugu film industry is planning a marathon entertainment event on November 30 in Hyderabad, to prompt the millions of Telugus in India and the large Telugu diaspora across the world to contribute and provide succor to the cyclone-affected Vizag.

The campaign titled ‘Memu Saitham’ includes dance, music and sports by the film stars. All the events will be telecast live on TV.  The revenue generated through the programme will be donated to the AP Chief Minister’s  Relief Fund. “The event while aimed at ensuring unprecedented scale of entertainment and excitement to movie lovers, is also essentially aimed at evoking compassion, camaraderie and secure wider participation from all audiences,’’ producer D Suresh Babu at a press conference here on Saturday.

“Revenue will be generated through TV, lucky draws and donations through website,”  he said. “We will come out with details regarding the same. We also request Tamil, Kannada and Hindi film industry to participate in the programme,” said Telugu film personality and MP Murali Mohan.
