HYDERABAD: Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Limited (MEIL), a Hyderabad-based infrastructure major, bagged the Enertia Award for ‘Manufacturing, Technology and Enterprise Innovation’ at the 11th Enertia Awards 2014 function held in New Delhi recently. Chairman of MEIL P P Reddy received the award.
The awards are given by Enertia Foundation to promote clean, green and sustainable energy and power in India, SAARC and rest of Asia. MEIL Green Power Ltd., a subsidiary of MEIL, established a 50 MW solar thermal plant in Anantapur district.
This is one of the first solar thermal power plants under the National Solar Mission Phase-I, aimed at generating largescale solar renewable energy.
