Transcending Boundaries Through Art and Creativity

If there is a platform you are looking for to exhibit your creative work, Touchtalent.com is your best bet

HYDERABAD: Art has no limitations or boundaries is the essence of Touchtalent.com, a platform for a global community of artists who can share creative content in different mediums in the online space. Started by Ankit Prasad and Mohd Waseem in 2011, Touchtalent.com holds an impressive collection of creative works of users from 192 countries under categories that include sculpting, comics, painting, music, calligraphy, literature among others.

“The idea was to provide a platform for those who would like to share their creative work with different people. While there are foriegn websites which cater to such users, India till now never had anything along these lines,” says Mohd Waseem, MD, Touchtalent.com.

To register on the website, all you need to do is login through your Facebook account and create a profile and start sharing your creative content with others in the space. As there is no hard and fast rule as to the medium, a user can upload anything he/she wants on the platform. “The website has been able to link users across various countries who are able to come together on one platform to share and discuss their views on the works exhibited in the online exhibition which is free to view,” shares Waseem who says their aim is to see “what value they are generating and not monetary factors”

Touchtalent.com also holds online exhibition in regular intervals wherein we collaborate with global galleries as well. So far, we have held 10 exhibitions which have garnered a million views,” adds Waseem. The website has helped many unknown artists with impressive works get that much needed recognition. Indeed, in terms of users from the city, there are quite a few who have garnered many hits.

“We have various algorithms in place for promoting upcoming artists or those people whose work is really good but who don’t have that many followers. This way, they are ensured visibility which in turn brings more views,” explains Waseem.

At present, the website is open to entries centered around the theme of teachers for their upcoming online exhibition on Teacher’s day. “When it comes to curation of the works for exhibitions, we have a very transparent system and it takes place at multiple levels based on user scores and the work as well,” states the 33-year old.
