HYDERABAD: The Falaknuma police on Thursday registered cases against actress Mallika Sherawat for allegedly disrespecting the national flag.
Acting on court directions, the police booked cases against her. Petitioners Qadir and Samiuddin filed petition before the Nampally court over a poster of her upcoming film that shows her draped in the tricolour. The court allowed the petition and directed the police to register cases.
Police registered cases under Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act, 1971.
