Green Products Gain popularity

HYDERABAD: Majority of the Indian consumers are confident that green products are better for environment and feel that bio-based ingredients enhance the desirability of a product, according to recent survey conducted by DuPont India Private limited, along with TNS Global.

Findings of the survey revealed that 63 per cent of urban Indians are familiar with green products and 85 per cent are confident that they are better for  environment. Previous studies showed China with 70 per cent confidence, Canada with 65 per cent and the United States with 60 per cent.

The survey was conducted over 12 major cities in the country with 1,270 respondents. The survey also revealed that a majority of Indians feel that bio-based enhances the desirability of a product.

“The findings of this survey are very encouraging and it clearly shows that bio-based economy is striving in India.
