HYDERABAD: Hyderabadis are becoming more experimental with food, trying new cuisines and enjoying the taste rides. Sister duo Aditi and Divya Nitin co-founders of Scabetty, a ready to cook gourmet online food service in city is slowly gaining popularity.

Scabetty was started in August 2015 and is steadily gaining popularity. “The idea originated from Aditi Nitin who used to stay in London and was a subscriber to Hello Fresh UK, the idea was to make something similar yet customized for the Indian audience” says Divya a post graduate in Biotechnology and Bio-Processing and Business Management from University of Warwick,UK.

Aditi Nitin an MBA from International School of Business Hyderabad has 12 years of experience in Analytics and marketing.

“At Scabetty we pre-prepare the time consuming and complicated bits making the recipe as easy and quick to cook as possible. All the vegetables come pre-cut. The instructions provided on our recipe leaflet are so easy to follow that the box can even be put together by someone who’s never cooked before,” says Aditi.

One can order and enjoy party starters which can be made in under 15 minutes like potato horns, Vietnamese rice paper rolls, Burmese lettuce wraps, Lebanese dips Platter, and black tacos.

Main dishes serve two people and there are myriad of cuisines from enchiladas, falafel in pita to lasagna as the website states.Family has been a source of strength and have been very supportive since the beginning explains Divya.

Ask her what made them name their venture Scabetty and with a smile Divya has this short story about her nephew who is four yeras old, and couldnot pronounce spaghetti and would always call it scabetty. The sister dua loved the word and found it catchy as well hence decided to name their business venture scabetty.

Presently Divya and Aditi prepare the marinades and sauces with receipescrafted by them both making sure they maintain the right balance of flavours.

The orders are delivered at the door step with no extra charge. Prateek a customer says, “I ordered the Tiramisu and I must say that not only was it delicious but the packing really impressed me! super organized, easy to make, and perfect sizing. For a guy making something like this, I was actually impressed by myself!”

Prices range from Rs 450-Rs 550 each starter, main dish and dessert.

With majority of young women working and the traffic in the city going worse, scabetty proves to be a fun option in the comfort of our homes.
