HYDERABAD: The Rajahmundry Asset of ONGC on Monday signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai, for formulating and facilitating composite Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR) initiatives.
A Satyanarayana, Rajahmundry asset manager, emphasized that ONGC wants to intensify developmental projects in East Godavari, West Godavari and Krishna districts with the professional support of the National CSR Hub of TISS.
ONGC has been undertaking community development programmes much before the CSR became a buzz word in the corporate world, it said.
As part of the MoU, TISS would conduct ‘Baseline Survey or Needs Assessment’ in the operational areas of ONGC to identify specific need-based CSR projects that are to be undertaken. It will also conduct ‘Impact Assessment Study’ for the identified projects within the broad framework of CSR guidelines.
