Cleaning and Purification this Festive Week

Detoxification is a must after Diwali. Eating baby food for few days post Diwali ensures happy and healthy body

Diwali as a festival along with all religious sentiments has been a very special one for me particularly since it focuses a lot on cleaning and purification of the environment and special rituals like oil bathing to nourish and clean our body.

Scientifically, Diwali is celebrated at the time of the year which signifies the change of weather and beginning of winters and is one of the best times of the year to cleanse and detox your body.

Post Diwali and often a sweet loaded body to undergo a detox process reduces the blood sugar level, cholestrol, easen the digestion, shed the extra festivities weigh gain, improve metabolism, strengthen immunity, better skin, more vitality and much more. One of the easier ways to undergo detox is to have baby food without any dairy, like shakes of fruits preferably in mornings while some boiled millets shake could be your lunch and dinner go for fresh greens.

Eating something like this for few days is a very good cleanser and if you want to have an administered detox you could explore more options offered by professionals. Keeping in mind the importance and the need for a periodic detox even in Meghavi we have encouraged and promote detox programmes for the wellbeing and better health of people.

Using grated coconut with a pinch of turmeric mixed with some seasme oil is a very good hydrating natural soap and when used daily will diminish the spots and marks on the skin while making the skin radiant and supple. These tips are investment in your health which will pay you dividends in a long run along with meeting your short term health goals.

Happy Diwali may this be a prosperous, healthy, youthful Diwali.
