HYDERABAD: The state government on Friday issued orders waiving interest on arrears and current year property tax dues up to March 31 and paving way for adjustment of interest already paid against future property tax.
Municipal administration and urban development department (MAUD) issued GO 42 following a request from commissioner and director of municipal administration and the GHMC urging the government to waive interest on arrears and on current year dues on property tax ie, 2014-15 as one time measure in the municipalities and corporations including GHMC provided that the assessee pays the total arrears and property tax in a lump sum or in installments.
