Celebrating Konkani

HYDERABAD: The Konkani Association of Hyderabad celebrated its 50th years of existence in the city. Chief Guest Bandaru Dattatreya unveiled the souvenir bought out by the association on the occasion of its golden jubilee and shared the copies with the dignitaries sitting in the dias. Later speaking on the occasion, he lauded the dynamism of Konkani Community and their contribution to Hyderabad’s growth. He urged the community to focus on women development also to share the knowledge and expertise earned by them in creating assets, business with the people of Telangana. He also asked them to setup skill development centers in the city. He assured all necessary help for constructing proposed Konkani Bhawan and any issue that is being faced by Konkani’s in the city.

Ajmeera Chandual, Minister of Tribal Welfare, Tourism & Culture has appreciated the Konkani Association contributions to the society. He also assured to take up the issue of extending support to construct proposed Konkani Bhawan in the city with the chief minister. He urged the community to help Telengana state in achieving its developmental goals.
