Hyderabad Collector Issues Warning Against Irregular Structures

HYDERABAD: Hyderabad district collector K Nirmala warned of razing down those structures which have not been regularised  after verification of all applications under GO 58 and 59 is completed.

Saturday is the last date for applying for regularisation under GO 59 and all the constructions in government lands which are not regularised will be demolished,  Nirmala said speaking at a press conference at collectorate here on Friday. She said to ease the burden on the people, the government has given them a chance to pay the regularisation amount in five instalments. For those whose constructions are between 125 sq yards and 150 yards, 10 per cent of the basic value has been fixed as regularisation fee.

Till now, about 395 applications and Rs 14.42 crore have been received for regularisation under GO 59. On verification of applications received under GO 58, the collector said so far 13,000 applications were found litigation-free. Out of the 16 mandals, scrutiny of applications has been completed in nine. Officials are making efforts to complete the verification process by March 10, she said.
