SCR GM Srivastava Retires After 36yrs

HYDERABAD: SCR general manager P K Srivastava superannuated from service on Tuesday after serving the Indian Railways for 36 years. He was accorded a warm farewell by the staff of SCR on Tuesday.

At a farewell function organised at Rail Nilayam, speakers extolled the virtues and qualities of general manager.  Every speaker shared one common opinion that Srivastava reached out to each and every personnel irrespective of their status.

This was the reason that SCR could rise from seventh position on Indian Railways to occupy the top slot in the last financial year in terms of incremental loading and earnings. The Zone had touched a record highest ever freight loading of 116.81 million tonnes in 2014-15.

The staff bid farewell to Srivastava by taking him in a colourfully decorated open top jeep from the Rail Nilayam, which was  pulled by officers and staff as a mark of respect.
