HYDERABAD: The Cyber Crime Police arrested two persons from Uttar Pradesh for allegedly hacking the website and email accounts of Mee Seva centre and siphoning off over `13 lakh. The arrested include Mohd. Khasim Khan (40), and Himanshu Shekhar Singh alias Rinku Singh (34), both natives of Uttar Pradesh.
The duo hacked the Mee Seva website and collected the official information. Basing on the information they opened a current bank account in the name of ‘Sai Enterprises’ and siphoned off the amount. When they came to know about the police probe, Khasim deposited `13.35 lakh back. After the arrest, ` 35,000 in cash and two mobile phones were seized and efforts are on to apprehend the other accused who are at large.
