29 Injured, Two Critical as RTC Bus Veers Off Bridge

A corporation bus proceeding towards Hyderabad from Basara veered off a bridge and plunged into the river leaving 29 persons injured at Ramayampet.

SANGAREDDY:  A corporation bus proceeding towards Hyderabad from Basara veered off a bridge and plunged into the river leaving 29 persons injured at Ramayampet in Medak, Friday. Out of the 45 passengers, 29 were injured and shifted to Ramayampet hospital for treatment. The condition of two among the injured is said to be critical.

Manohar (5) and Mahalaxmi (30) who sustained grievous injuries have been shifted to Gandhi Hospital for better treatment. Toopran DSP Venkateshwarlu visited the hospital and interacted with the injured. The RTC bus driver and conductor also sustained minor injuries. The bus has been removed from the river using a crane. Ramayampet SI Nagarjun Goud registered a case and is investigating the accident.
