HYDERABAD: An 18-year-old girl was found murdered on the street at Shanthinagar in Lallaguda police station limits on Monday morning. Police are yet to identify the girl and have registered a case of murder. Locals who saw the body on the road side had informed police.

According to Karan Kumar Singh, inspector, Lallaguda, the location where the body was found is not the crime scene. He said that the murder could have happened between 12pm and 6am.

“The cause of death is a head injury and there are no marks of physical assault on her body. She seems to be a Lambada girl from a poor family,” he added.

The body has been sent to Gandhi Hospital for autopsy. The inspector said that they are investigating and denied possibility of a rape attempt.
