Woman Booked for Torturing 4-yr-old Son

HYDERABAD: A four-year-old boy was allegedly tortured and harassed by his own mother and her paramour in order to extort money from her family members who were taking care of the tiny tot. Based on a complaint from her brother Riyaz (26), a medical representative and resident of  Afzal Towers Moula Ali, the Neredmet police registered a case on Tuesday.

According to police, Reshma, daughter of Chand Pasha, was married in 2008 and has two male children. However, she divorced later and has since been in a relationship with one Mahesh. About two months ago, the police said, she took away Ayan from Riyaz’s custody and demanded `50,000 for returning him. “Upon non-payment of the ransom, Mahesh and Reshma have burnt the boy’s lips, hands, legs and private parts with an iron rod,” said Jemes Babu, sub-inspector, Neredmet.
