HMDA Commissioner Holds Meet on LRS, BRS

HYDERABAD: Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority metropolitan commissioner T.Chiranjeevulu has sought the support of deputy collectors, tahsildars, panchayat secretaries, village revenue officers and villages assistants of Ranga Reddy district to help HMDA in effective implementation of the Layout Regularisation Scheme (LRS) and Building Regularisation Scheme (BRS) in the district for planned development of the metropolitan area.

In a meeting with about 500 revenue officials of the district held at Indira Priyadarshini Auditorium here on Friday, Chiranjeevulu said that the district revenue officials should guide the people, developers and builders to avail LRS and BRS, which have been provided as one-time opportunity by the state government.

He said that revenue authorities in the district may be aware of illegal layouts and illegal buildings that have come up in their jurisdictions and they should create awareness among the people to avail the regularisation schemes.

For the benefit of the people of the district, HMDA opened Facilitation Centres at tahsildar’s offices where the required men and machinery had been provided for filing LRS and BRS applications online.

Ranga Reddy district collector M Raghunandan Rao urged the district revenue officials to create awareness among the people about the need to regularise illegal layouts and unauthorised constructions.
