HYDERABAD: A person, who received various gadgets from an e-commerce firm, allegedly duped the firm by returning the parcel by placing in it duplicate product material instead of the original material. The incident took place in Vanasthalipuram police limits.
Police received a complaint from Filpkart management and are investigating.
Filpkart officials complained that one Veera Reddy, a resident of Vanasthalipuram, ordered various products online and received the same. After receiving products he ordered for, he would file false complaints and return the products after replacing the original products in the parcel with duplicates.
“Veera Reddy received more than 250 products from Filpkart by placing orders online in the names of his mother, wife and brother by creating email IDs. He allegedly duped the firm of `30 lakh,” police said.
Police questioned the company’s management and the customer in connection with the case and will register cases.
