TS Government May Take Over Hyderabad Race Club

The state government has plans to take over Hyderabad Race Club located at Malakpet in the city.

HYDERABAD:The state government has plans to take over Hyderabad Race Club located at Malakpet in the city.

“We will consult legal experts to take over Hyderabad Race Club and run it from government side,” commercial taxes minister Talasani Srinivasa Yadav told reporters here on Saturday.

The officials of commercial taxes department recently conducted raids on Malakpet Race club and six bookies, who were evading taxes, despite earning huge revenues.

Out of the 24 bookies in the Hyderabad Race Club, the commercial taxes officials conducted raids on six bookies and seized Rs 51 lakh. A team of 60 officials conducted the raids.
