HYDERABAD: Infrastructure Leasing & Financial Services Ltd (IL&FS), a leading infrastructure development and finance company, has come forward to fund Telangana government’s developmental programmes.
The company made this proposition when IL&FS Water Limited head V Prabhakar and executive chairman Pradeep Puri called on chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao at his camp office here on Monday.
When they enquired about the developmental activities taken up in the state, Rao explained that his government had taken up Water Grid, a massive drinking water project, at a whopping cost of Rs 35,000 crore.
He also informed them that the state would take up a similar programme in cities and towns, and provide piped drinking water to all households in rural and urban areas.
He also said that his government was according priority to provide infrastructure in towns and cities.
