Three Chain Snatchers Arrested

HYDERABAD:  In a major catch, Cyberabad police arrested three members of an Irani gang involved in 32 chain snatching offences and recovered one kg gold ornaments from them.

According to police, the gang has five members, all from Bihar and Maharashtra. They arrived in the city with their bikes on train. The gang roamed the city on these bikes and committed offences. Later, they park these bikes at the railway station parking lots and leave the city. Two gang members are still absconding.

Blue Colt Cops to Get Weapons

To curb incidents of chain snatching, the Cyberabad police are planning to provide weapons to blue colt vehicle riders. Sources told Express that it was found that many chain snatchers resorted to violent attacks. In most incident victims received grievous injuries. The culprits also assault the police. The weapons will be provided to police as a saftety measure.
