Book on Telangana Movement Released

HYDERABAD: A book on Telangana gitation, ‘Unveiling Telangana State’, written by senior journalist K Ramachandra Murthy was released by former Supreme Court judge B Sudershan Reddy at a function held at Potti Sriramulu Telugu University auditorium here on Sunday. The book is a chronological compilation of columns he published in a Hyderabad-based daily newspaper.

Murthy’s book differs from those written by others on Telangana agitation as it  attempts to give analytical commentary on the movement. A Krishna Rao, Deputy Resident Editor of The New Indian Express, Hyderabad, said, “Based in Delhi in those days, we had a different perspective of developments that were taking place here. But this book has recorded all of them in an effective manner.” Telangana JAC chairman M.Kodandaram, Telangana Press Academy chairman Allam Narayana, founder-chairman of the Centre for Dalit Studies Mallepalli Laxmaiah, noted educationist Chukka Ramaiah and others were also present.
