HYDERABAD: Two children drowned while swimming in Chinnacheruvu lake, in Jawaharnagar precinct on Monday. They were identified as L Praveen (15), a student of Class IX, and his brother Prashanth (16), a student of Class X. They were residents of Bhoiguda. Police said the brothers went to the lake along with their uncle Kumar’s son Hemanth to swim. While Hemanth was waiting on the bund, Praveen and Prashanth swamand strayed into deeper waters, where they drowned. Hemanth informed his father, who rushed to the lake and fished out the bodies.
