Vengeful Hubby Brands Housewife 'Call Girl', Held

HYDERABAD: In a shocking incident, a vengeful man branded his wife as a call girl and posted her phone number on porn websites inviting men to court her.

E Muralikrishna (38) of Malakpet, who works as a systems administrator in a private company, was arrested on Tuesday by the sleuths of Central Crime Station, 10 months after he allegedly committed the online crime. The accused married the victim in 2002 and according to the complainant, he had been harassing her demanding to bring more money. Bhagyalakshmi, the complainant, had approached police earlier in January 2015, alleging harassment. The accused married Bhagyalakshmi after falling in love with her and it is said the family had paid `10 lakh at the time of marriage. But later he started harassing me demanding to bring more money, she told reporters.

Cyber Crimes Police raided the house of Muralikrishna at Tirumala hills in Malakpet on Tuesday and took him into custody. The couple has two sons. “It is an online crime. The woman has alleged that it Muralikrishna who posted her mobile number in some websites following which she started receiving calls,” said an officer.

Explaining the delay in arresting the accused, Swati Lakra, ACP(Crimes and SIT), said: “We do not have any doubts regarding the version of the complainant. Facts had to be verified and the IP address of the computer had to be traced.”
