HYDERABAD: German giant Mercedes-Benz has launched the updated ML-Class (also known as GLE). In India, the GLE SUV is available with a choice of two diesel engines—250d and 350d. The 250d gets an output of 204PS of peak power and 500Nm of torque, while the 350d makes 258PS of peak power and 620Nm of peak torque. While the starting price of 250d is `58.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the top range 350d has been priced at `69.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). In the exteriors, the GLE features headlamps and an angular grille. It looks much like the C and S-Class when viewed up front. The grille with its twin slat design and centrally mounted three-pointed-star is reminiscent of the older ML’s design elements. The trademark angular C-pillar and large tail lamps still remain, although the tail lamps have been redesigned. It also has LED headlamps. All variants of the GLE come with the 4Matic all-wheel drive system. The interior gets updated with a larger screen.
