Man Held For Filming Flight Attendant

A 21-year-old was arrested by Rajiv Gandhi International Airport police on Monday for filming one of the cabin crew members and misbehaving with her on a flight from Bengaluru to Hyderabad.

HYDERABAD: A 21-year-old was arrested by Rajiv Gandhi International Airport police on Monday for filming one of the cabin crew members and misbehaving with her on a flight from Bengaluru to Hyderabad.

Based on a complaint, the accused, Pranav Agarwal, was arrested and remanded by the police. The accused is a final-year student of law at Nalsar University of Law here and hails from Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh.

Police have registered a case under Sections 354 (assault or criminal force on a woman with intent to outrage her modesty) and 354C (voyeurism) of IPC.

According to RGIA inspector T Sudhakar, when the accused was being served eatables on the flight, he allegedly touched the female crew member inappropriately. “He touched her in an objectionable manner. Later, the complainant noticed that he was filming her on his phone,” said the inspector.

Police later checked his phone and found the said video that he had filmed in the plane.
