KARIMNAGAR: A IX standard girl was attacked by a deranged man for no apparent reason while she was on her way to school on Monday morning.
S Archana is a resident of Katikawada village in Korutla. On that morning, a stranger knocked on her door and asked for her mother. The girl told him that she was away and he left soon after.
Later, while Archana was rambling on to school, he returned on a motorbike and slashed her arms and fled the scene. Locals provided the girl with first aid and she was rushed to a local hospital. Archana has recovered after treatment and is at home. Meanwhile, police have formed special teams and launched a man hunt to track down the culprit.
