AP, TS DGPs Pay Tributes to Former Top Cop

HYDERABAD: The Directors General of Police (DGPs) of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana State, J V Ramudu and Anurag Sharma, paid tributes to retired IPS officer Suresh Chandra Dwivedi here Wednesday.

Dwivedi, a 1966 batch IPS officer, died recently in New Delhi. He served as IPS officer in united Andhra Pradesh.

Ramudu recalled the valuable services of Dwivedi to Andhra Pradesh state. He implemented various reforms in police department for the benefit of policemen and their family members.

Sharma said that Dwivedi was an excellent police officer, who always led the forces from the front and set a role model in efficiency, determination and team work. Dwivedi’s first posting was in Jammalamadugu of Andhra Pradesh as ASP. He worked as DGP of Vigilance and Enforcement. He settled in Gurgoan after retirement. He is survived by his wife, daughter and son.
