Cops Ban DJ Music without Permission

HYDERABAD: Police have issued orders prohibiting the playing of loud music by DJs without prior permission from the divisional assistant commissioners of police concerned.

The ban order restricts use of high-volume sound systems, including DJs, permissible sound levels in places of public gatherings including processions.

The order will come into force at 6 am on September 3 and shall remain in force for a period of 15 days till 6 am on September 17, both days inclusive, unless withdrawn earlier.

Any person violating this order shall be liable for punishment under section 188 of IPC and 76 of the Hyderabad City Police Act, 1348 Fasli, said the order.
