KARIMNAGAR: A 14-year-old girl from the city has scripted her name in the annals of the  Guinness Book of World Record by carving 12 images of Lord Ganesh on a 8 cm chalk piece, in one minute.

Peeka Madvika, an eight grade student, expressed her happiness over the recognition here on Wednesday. Her father Sasidhar said that they have received a message from the Guinness Book of World Record’s organisation and have downloaded the certificate.  “Madvika has been very enthusiastic in learning new things from her childhood and this attitude has helped her to script the record,” he added.

She displayed her skill in the presence of several noted personalities and local artistes and applied for the record online, on November 14, 2014.

The 14-year-old had earlier secured Limca Book of Record for carving Lord Ganesh images on a chalk piece.
