“In a country were local indigenous jewellery industries continue to exist, Nizanta.in reflects the confluence of culture and mélange of tradition that Indians can resonate with,” says the e-commerce site’s co-founder Rachit Motani.
Each piece is elegantly fashioned and individually handcrafted by local Indian craftsmen, or ‘karigars’, and reflects the unique cultural elements embedded in the roots of Hyderabad, shares Rachit. The jewellery is gold foiled and not merely gold plated, which makes it more durable and pure.
For every piece of jewellery sold, Nizanta.in utilises a percentage of the piece to supplement the livelihoods of the craftsmen engaged in it.
