Mélange of modern & traditional

Known for its innovatively crafted modern designer ornaments with the Indian twist, Nizanta.in has launched The Nizam Collection. Inspired by the Nizams, the premium online jewellery store provides a fresh perspective on tradition. The collection has rings, bracelets, necklaces, earrings – and each ornament stands out from the usual ilk. Nizanta.in aims to resurrect the unique style of Indian jewellery craftsmanship while tweaking it to suit the present requirements.

“In a country were local indigenous jewellery industries continue to exist, Nizanta.in reflects the confluence of culture and mélange of tradition that Indians can resonate with,” says the e-commerce site’s co-founder Rachit Motani.

Each piece is elegantly fashioned and individually handcrafted by local Indian craftsmen, or ‘karigars’, and reflects the unique cultural elements embedded in the roots of Hyderabad, shares Rachit. The jewellery is gold foiled and not merely gold plated, which makes it more durable and pure.

For every piece of jewellery sold, Nizanta.in utilises a percentage of the piece to supplement the livelihoods of the craftsmen engaged in it.
