Air India Signs Pact With CAE for Simulators

The Full Flight Simulator will be installed along with the existing two A320 simulators.

HYDERABAD: National carrier Air India on Monday  signed an agreement with CAE, a global aviation training expert, to procure a brand new CAE 7000 XR series Level ‘D’ A320 Full Flight Simulator (FFS) for its Central Training Establishment based in the city.

The agreement was signed at the Central Training Establishment here by Capt A S Soman, executive director (training) and Dave Barette, vice-president Middle East and India-Civil, CAE and the delivery is expected in the first quarter of 2016.

The simulator provides more accurate cues for pilot training. The Full Flight Simulator will be installed along with the existing two A320 simulators. Air India will now be able to put on fast track the comprehensive training provided to its pilots with latest technology, Air India said in a statement.
