Mission Kakatiya Works by April 30, Says Harish Rao

The cabinet sub-committee on irrigation projects will meet under the chairmanship of irrigation minister T Harish Rao on April 9.

HYDERABAD:  The cabinet sub-committee on irrigation projects will meet under the chairmanship of irrigation minister T Harish Rao on April 9. The cabinet sub-committee which met at Secretariat on Tuesday did not take any decisions and decided to meet again on April 9. The sub-committee on Tuesday examined the packages of Tummadi Hatti, Medigadda and other irrigation projects. The final decisions on the various packages would be taken after next meeting.

Earlier, at a video conference from Secretariat, T Harish Rao directed the officials to complete the Mission Kakatiya phase-1 works by April 30. Harish Rao noticed that Mission Kakatiya phase-1 works were satisfactory in Khammam district, while the progress of works in Nizamabad, Medak and Mahbubnagar districts was very slow. Harish Rao said that he would not tolerate delay in executing the works in future and this was his last warning to the staff.  Harish Rao also informed that he would tour districts to supervise the works of the mission. The minister also warned that they would take action against SEs, DEs and EEs who were posted in districts and going to work place daily from Hyderabad.
