Newborn Found With Throat Slit, Mother Claims Attempted Robbery

The child's mother claimed that two unknown persons sprayed some chemicals and snatched gold ornaments from the baby.

HYDERABAD: In a bone-chilling incident, a 25-day-old baby boy was found dead with his throat slit in a lane near the Ramakrishna Puram flyover at Neeredmet in Hyderabad on Wednesday morning.

The mother of the infant said two unknown persons sprayed some chemicals to make her unconscious and snatched gold ornaments from the baby, killing him in the process.

Police are investigating this claim. The baby's body was taken to the Gandhi Hospital's mortuary for a post-mortem procedure.
