HYDERABAD: An amount of Rs 2.28 crore compensation was awarded benefiting about 250 persons at the Lok Adalat held on the High Court premises here on Saturday.
According to the High Court Legal Services Committee, Lok Adalat was conducted for settlement of civil, revenue and other pre-litigation cases. In all, 45 cases were settled, which included 36 motor accident cases, three appeal suits, one writ petition, one second appeal and one criminal petition, involving an amount of Rs 2.28 crore as compensation.
Justice G V Seethapathy, retired judge of the High Court, presided over the Lok Adalat bench.
