Hyderabad police arrest man for inflicting injuries on wife’s private parts 

A man was arrested on Tuesday by Ghatkesar police for allegedly physically abusing his wife and inflicting injuries on her private parts suspecting her infidelity.

HYDERABAD:  A man was arrested on Tuesday by Ghatkesar police for allegedly physically abusing his wife and inflicting injuries on her private parts suspecting her infidelity.   He used to even take her to various doctors to ascertain if she had physical relationships with other men.

The couple are residents of Annojiguda in Ghatkesar.The incident came to light after police traced the woman to her family in Jangaon following a missing person complaint lodged by the husband. The 25-year-old woman, who has been married for 11 years, was a victim of child marriage.

Bhukya Ravi, a central government employee working in Hyderabad, had lodged a complaint with Ghatkesar police in Hyderabad about their missing daughter. The police started investigation and found the child with her mother at her grandparents’s house. During questioning, the woman revealed that her husband had been abusing her for years. 

“For about a year after marriage, she was treated well by her husband and after that, he started suspecting her fidelity. He used to abuse her mentally and physically,” said Ghatkesar inspector B Prakash.  The inspector, quoting the victim’s complaint, said that she had been once beaten so severely by her husband that she was left with bleeding injuries and three stitches on the head. At that time, she had lodged a complaint of domestic harassment at Thorrur police station in Warangal district.
