HYDERABAD: Barely a day after a Class II student lost her life in a speeding accident, a ten-year-old schoolgirl was crushed to death under the wheels of a college bus on Wednesday morning in Hyderabad. Several other persons were injured in the incident.

Earlier on Tuesday, Class II student, Bhumika Reddy, lost her life after a speeding truck hit the two-wheeler she was traveling on under Uppal police limits.

Wednesday’s accident occurred when the driver of the college bus lost control and the vehicle rammed into an RTC bus and some two-wheelers before crushing the girl Madhushalini, who was riding pillion with her uncle.

Hayathnagar inspector J Narender Goud said, "As the motorcycle reached Pasumamula Junction, Peddamberpet, a city RTC bus was crossing the junction. Noticing the bus, the girl's uncle slowed his motorcycle when the college bus (AP29TC0787) belonging to St. Mary's College, coming from Hayathnagar, rammed into it. The girl came under the wheels and died on the spot."

The body was shifted to the mortuary for post mortem examination. Police registered a case under Section 304 (a) (negligent driving causing death) against the driver.
