Cylinder blast leaves three injured

Three workers of a scrap godown in the city were critically injured when a domestic gas cylinder exploded when one of them tried to break the cylinder on Tuesday.

HYDERABAD: Three workers of a scrap godown in the city were critically injured when a domestic gas cylinder exploded when one of them tried to break the cylinder on Tuesday. The police said that two persons are still in critical condition and are being treated. According to Kulsumpura police, the incident took place at a scrap godown in Karwan area. 

The godown is located near Kamela Road where Ashok, Vinod and one Chotu had been working. When the workers were segregating scrap, Ashok tried to break the domestic gas cylinder assuming that it would be empty and it exploded. The clues team and officers concerned had rushed to the spot and collected evidence. A case under section 435 of IPC has been registered and investigated into, said police.
