HYDERABAD: The artist with an intense affinity, warmth and concern creates a set of works that are completely dedicated to the environment , nature and finally to the holistic prosperity of the mankind.

The inter-relationship and oneness between  all forms of  natural elements, flora , fauna and human beings gets accentuated through the stylistically rich works. The realisation and contemplation about  the fading green patches gains a mature and serious tone and dialect through these works.

The artist excels in building up her dialogue with the apt use of myriad material and media of expression.

While, praying and hoping for a better and greener future Avani  refrains herself from restricting to a single medium of expression. Like an ardent worshipper she avails all possible means and gently/ faithfully arranges them to accelerate the spiritual intensity of her prayers.

The charcoal drawing on wall, titled ‘Nature’s soundtrack’  is a serene, quiet and stilled representation of a wide spread landscape. The work exemplifies natures innate/eternal strengths, that  exist in a veiled undercurrent. The artist explains the work in her words,’ An unseen sound track , the music of nature weaves it harmony. The drawing is a expressionist rendering of landscape reflected in clear water – of air whizzing by,bird-song, gently swaying leaves ,as sound waves that can be heard and what we cannot hear as Nature’s cry.”

An installation titled, ‘a sooted respiration,”  reveals the side effects of  air contamination  that  deeply and heavily damage the body of a human beings as well as the flora/fauna, alike. The cluster of tied together wooden twigs and dry branches represent the lungs on which the scattered cotton fluff and thick, black motor oil, cling as clouds of suffocation and blockages. The installation excels in penetrating and reaching to the deepest, innate and nucleus of pollution that resides quietly inside the body in the form of  white clouded soot.

The painting titled, ‘Hear the lotus bloom’ stands out for its magnetic verve as well as for its tranquillity. The lotus bloom, is a semi abstract work, where multiple strokes create a rhythm.

The exhibition is on till June 15
