Hyderabad to house ISRO data, satellite vehicle to be launched

HYDERABAD: The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO)  would expand its outreach facility located at the National Remote Sensing Centre campus in Jeedimetla where data captured by various space projects of ISRO over the decades would be archived.

This data would be made available to researchers and entrepreneurs. The expanded facility will also house start-ups from the space application and related technologies’ sector. This was announced by the chairman of ISRO and secretary of department of space, AS Kiran Kumar here on Friday.
Speaking at the Indian Institute of Chemical Technology here on National Technology Day,  he said that one of the main challenges in India was transforming innovations into practical products.
Kumar said that ISRO is planning to launch  Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV) Mark-III in the first week of June. It is the most powerful rocket that is capable of transporting.
