KARIMNAGAR: A 35-year-old software engineer working as Data Base Administrator in IBM, Hyderabad was arrested by Karimnagar I Town police on Monday for posting his sister-in-law’s profile, objectionable messages and porn data on a porn site.Commissioner of Police VB Kamalasan Reddy told media that the accused Azhar Mohinoddin Tameem studied engineering in Karimnagar. In 2013, he married a woman from Karimnagar but due to his alleged extra marital affair and harassment for additional dowry, differences cropped up between the husband and wife.
In the recent past, disputes escalated and the accused sent away his wife to her maternal house in Karimangar. A case was also registered against him at Karimnagar Woman PS for dowry harassment on June 20, 2017.Since then, he developed grudge against his wife and decided to defame her family members and targetted his sister-in-law, studying engineering in Karimnagar. He created a fake gmail account and started posting objectionable data and phone number of the girl on a porn website.
With that, the victim started to get phone calls from the browsers of the porn website. Unable to bear the harassment and humiliation, the family members approached Karimnagar One Town Police Station. The police issued notices to the porn website and Google management and collected information of the person who posted the objectionable data.
“Being a software engineer, Tameem took various precautions not to get caught but police used high technology and tracked him down,” Kamalasan Reddy said.On Monday, police took him into custody and he confessed to have committed the offence in the inquiry. Police seized a laptop, a mobile phone and other gadgets. ACP J Rama Rao, One Town CI T Srinivas Rao and Task Force CI S Srinivas Rao were present.
