HYDERABAD: Rachakonda SHE teams arrested 18 persons including a minor boy for teasing women at public places.
In a case at Medipally, a 19-year-old student was following a first year Intermediate student and was harassing her for the last three months, on her way to college and back home.
Based on the girl’s complaint, the accused was arrested under Sections 354 D, 323 and 506 of IPC and was remanded. In another incident at Neredmet, a 23-year-old driver, G Durga was staling a 34-year-old woman, who lives in his neighbourhood. Further, the woman learnt that Durga was also talking to her 13-year-old daughter during nights. Based on her complaint, he was arrested.
Similar complaints were lodged in Vanasthalipuram and Neredmet. Im all , 13 eve-teasers were caught by SHE teams during decoy operations and based on the complaints received on WhatsApp number ‘9490617111’. They were all booked under petty cases and counselled.
