HYDERABAD: The special operations team of Cyberabad police apprehended five persons from Shabad in Chevella and seized five tractors containing sand on Saturday night.
The sleuths, acting on a tip-off that some persons were transporting sand to Hyderabad from the city’s outskirts, swung into action and nabbed the five persons, said Chevella police sub-inspector N Sridhar Reddy.
The accused are M.Sattaiah, Swami, Krishnaiah, M Ravi and another person, all residents of Shabad mandal. They all own tractors and do transport work.
