Penalties imposed on several city eateries

As part of the ongoing surprise checks on hotels and restaurants against unsanitary and unhygienic conditions and procuring of unstamped meat, Health and Sanitation and Veterinary wings of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) inspected various eateries and imposed penalties against the hoteliers concerned.

HYDERABAD:  As part of the ongoing surprise checks on hotels and restaurants against unsanitary and unhygienic conditions and procuring of unstamped meat, Health and Sanitation and Veterinary wings of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) inspected various eateries and imposed penalties against the hoteliers concerned.


On Saturday, GHMC teams checked Green Bawarchi Restaurant at Kukatpally and imposed a penalty of `15,000 (`10,000 by Veterinary, `5,000 by Health & Sanitation).


The team also checked Hot n Chill Restaurant and Bar in Kukatpally and imposed a penalty of `30,000 (`10,000 by Veterinary, `20,000 by AMOH).


Padmavati Deluxe Mess at Kukatpally was inspected and a penalty of `10,000 was imposed on them for procuring the meat which didn’t have a GHMC stamp.


GHMC also checked Sitara Grand Restaurant at Ramchandrapuram and levied a penalty of `50,000 and prosecution against management. A penalty of `10,000 was imposed on Al-Marhaba Arabian & Indian Restaurant at Ramchandrapuram. A penalty of `5,000 was imposed on Siddique Kabab Centre, RC Puram.
