HYDERABAD: An FIR was filed at Gachibowli police station against three persons in connection with the clash between two groups at the University of Hyderabad on Saturday late night. The clash had left two M Phil students injured.
As per police, the FIR was booked under Section 324, (voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means), Section 341 (wrongful restraint) and Section 507 (read with Section 34) of the IPC. The students who filed the police complaint also wrote a letter to Dean of Students Welfare of the varsity on Monday.
The incident took place at a tea stall near C Hostel on Saturday night when students Kasala Jashwanth Prasad and Chandan Kumar Mishra were returning after watching a cricket match on the campus.
