HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad SHE teams on Wednesday arrested a 30-year-old private employee for allegedly misbehaving with a woman at Road No 12, Banjara Hills. The girl took a video of the whole incident and shared with the SHE Teams following which the accused was nabbed. The video was later tweeted by the SHE Teams. The arrested person was produced before the court for judicial remand.
According to police, a woman lodged a complaint with the SHE teams that an unknown person misbehaved with her while she was standing at the Bus Stop at Banjara Hills. She was standing and waiting outside Virinchi hospitals located at Pension Office, Banjara Hills at Road No.12.
“A person came on his bike and asked if he can drop her and asked her to sit on his bike and misbehaved with her on the road. The lady refused and changed her place. The miscreant, however, continued to harass her and again came near her forcing her to sit with him saying that he would drop her,’’ said victim in her complaint. The girl took a video of the incident and posted it on WhatsApp to SHE teams. According to the bike number mentioned in the complaint, the SHE Teams made discreet enquiry and traced the accused,’’ said Swati Lakra, Additional Commissioner of Police, crime.
The SHE teams immediately informed to law and order police and arrested the accused Md Abdul, 30, private employee.In another case, the SHE teams caught a 30-year-old accused for stalking a woman red handed.
Based on complaint lodged a victim stating that a known person stalking the petitioner since last six months, the SHE caught the accused Kancha Mallesh, resident of Bodupal. The accused indulged in sending obscene messages and stalking the victim.
SHE Teams requested the women to dial 100 or use Hawk eye mobile App in case of emergency.
