Women entrepreneurs embrace First MSME Day

An app and special catalogue featuring 50 MSME entrepreneurs released during the event.

HYDERABAD: The first International MSME Day on Wednesday celebrated and welcomed 300 women entrepreneurs in MSME (Micro Small and Medium Enterprises) and highlighted the contribution of businesses worldwide to livelihoods, communities and economies, and the need to support MSMEs towards their success. The event was organised by NIMSME (National Institute of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises) in collaboration with WE AIM (Womenergy Association of Incubators in Manufacturing). 

We Aim Association Founders Deepthi Reddy Madugula and Geeta Goti (Independent director NSIC (National Small Industrial Corporation) launched the Womenergy app, touted to be India’s first business networking app for women entrepreneurs. Gray Logic Technologies worked with them to create it. Womenergy Association also released “ WE AIM HER MARKET, “ a  catalogue showcasing 50 MSME women enterprises, with the support of Kalasha Fine Jewels.  

The technical sessions had topics regarding support to MSMEs and promotional schemes by Vatsala Mishra, Officer on Special Duty to Principal Secretary, Industry & Commerce, Government of Telangana. A panel discussion on ‘Women Entrepreneurship and Innovation’ and Deepthi Reddy’s talk threw light and offered tips to women entrepreneurs on how to start a business and how to accelerate it to next level.
Around 50 entrepreneurs displayed their products in the stalls at the event.
