HYDERABAD: A fire broke out in the prestigious Nizam Club at Saifabad on Sunday morning. Fire tenders rushed to the spot and doused the fire. No casualties have been reported, but there could be loss of property, said fire officials.

On Sunday morning, the staffers at the club noticed a fire in a penthouse in one of the blocks and alerted the club authorities, who intimated the police and fire department.

In less than 10 minutes, the fire department and cops arrived and controlled the fire.

A short circuit is suspected to be the cause of the fire, however the exact cause will be known only after an investigation, the police said.

Based on a complaint from Nizam Club authorities, a case was registered at Saifabad police station and further investigation is in process.
