

HYDERABAD: Tension prevailed briefly in the industrial area of Kattedan in Mailardevpally on Sunday morning after a fire broke out at a plastic manufacturing unit in the Tatanagar area.
The blaze reportedly began in the plastic storage section of the factory. No casualties or injuries were reported as the unit was closed on Sunday and no workers were present at the time of the incident.
Fire tenders reached the spot at 10.15 am with four fire engines. Fire personnel worked for nearly two hours before bringing the blaze under control.
While the exact cause is yet to be ascertained, officials suspect a short circuit may have triggered the fire. The property loss is estimated to be under Rs 5 lakh. A case has been registered and a detailed probe is underway.
